About Brodie Kane

Broadcaster/MC/Public Speaker/Storyteller

Brodie is based in Auckland and is working on some awesome projects, which include hosting the very popular The Girls Uninterrupted and Kiwi Yarns podcasts, and producing two further podcasts, Three Gals One Beehive, and Out the Gayte. She loves to work on creative campaigns for various brands and within the media industry too. Then there’s the MC duties and public speaking which she’s really passionate about.
An award-winning journalist, Brodie has loved every minute of the 15 years she’s had in broadcasting. Her no-nonsense yet down-to-earth approach is unique in the industry and you can be guaranteed that what you see is what you get.

An extensive background in radio and television, Brodie previously hosted The Hits Breakfast show in Christchurch with Dave Fitzgerald. Prior to that Brodie worked at TVNZ for five years working as a sports presenter on Breakfast, a roving reporter on Seven Sharp, reporter on Fair Go and associate producer on Q+A. Brodie is incredibly fit thanks to her background in Surf Life Saving, but also has a bit of mental toughness thanks to a four-year stint in the Territorials of the NZ Army. She now loves the challenge of long distance events, running her first marathon in Auckland in 2018, and completing the team event of the Coast to Coast in 2020 with her mother and brother (her third year involved in the race)! Brodie loves talking (it’s sometimes hard to stop her) and is incredibly passionate about engaging with people all around New Zealand.

Duco Events has had the pleasure of working with Brodie Kane for the last two years on the T20 Black Clash with Brodie hosting the event.

Brodie is professional, creative and has a phenomenal ability to help bring our event to life in a live working environment for both TV broadcast and in stadia – a huge feat in itself!

She is quick to read the play, adapt under pressure and change direction when needed. Brodie is hugely respected and is the ideal person to have the role of host as both the talent and fans feel extremely comfortable with her – she is always getting great content and banter!

Brodie is passionate, hugely entertaining, easy to work with and delivers every single time!

We’re looking forward to her hosting the 2021 Black Clash in Christchurch already.

Destination Rotorua was lucky enough to connect with Brodie on her recent Roadie around New Zealand (together with Laura the Explorer and Barry the Bar Leaner). We subsequently hosted Brodie (and crew) for their visit to Rotorua.

We were absolutely rapt with the publicity and engagement that Brodie’s Roadie generated. Brodie was professional, super easy to work with, and we found her no-nonsense, down-to-earth personality to be super refreshing. I really enjoyed Brodie’s quick wit and her gift at connecting really quickly with people. Brodie, thank you so much for visiting Rotorua, and showcasing the essence of our beautiful area.

Brodie creates authentic content that resonates with the everyday Kiwi. She communicates relevant brand messages in a personally relevant way and her content is highly engaging when we worked with Brodie on Silver Fern Farms January and April 2020 campaigns. Brodie is great to work with and is the right balance of professional and relatable. – Silver Fern Farms
