A BIT ABOUT BRODIE

Kia ora, I’m Brodie Kane, great to see you! I’m a journalist by trade, but my work extends beyond that. I am a podcast host and producer. I have a passion for telling stories, and engaging and collaborating with brands and businesses throughout the country. From public speaking to MC work, to television presenting to covering sporting events, and creating important and entertaining content whether it be on a podcast or through social media, I really love giving it all a crack.

The Girls Uninterrupted

Brodie Kane, Caitlin Marett and Gracie Taylor sit down once a week and discuss the issues of the week. Ok, some of the issues are more like life dilemmas, and ok, some of the life dilemmas are really just three girls sitting around having a laugh, a cry or a laugh-cry.
Lockdown Beans!

Lockdown Beans!

A paid collaboration with New World creating some absolutely delicious homemade beans at home (funny that) during New Zealand’s Covid-19 lockdown. No, I’m not a chef but my word I can follow a recipe.

What do you do when your best mate accidentally buys a bar leaner off Trademe in the wrong city? Well you hop in the car and take it to her city and call it a road trip.

Self What?

Self What?

Not that long ago I turned 34, and in my first week of turning 34 I got hemorrhoids. Yip, hemorrhoids. Bum hurt all week, felt like a bag of shite (never a truer choice of words). In those first couple of days of the first week of my 35th year, after I’d had all my friends and family around me, I experienced that low you feel you know? After an epic weekend, too much alcohol, lots of fun, and then BAM – back to reality.

Woah, we’re halfway there!

Woah, we’re halfway there!

So the Queenstown Marathon is pretty much bang on two months away and my epic coach Lydia O’Donell has had me on a pretty full noise training programme. I’ve been feeling really good overall, but am acutely aware we’re getting into the real business end of training.

Off the Beaten Track and right on your doorstep.

Off the Beaten Track and right on your doorstep.

It’s amazing how you can hop in the car in New Zealand, and within a relatively small amount of time you can be somewhere that looks completely different, somewhere that offers a different perspective, somewhere that is off the beaten track and yet right at your back doorstep.
